Starting on January, 25th 2021, credits will be consumed when you request a piece of content rather than when you accept a submission. This update paves the way for exciting features and improvements throughout 2021!
What else is changing on January 25th? Check out the following articles for more helpful guidance:
Accepting Content
Because credits are now reserved when you activate a request, you will no longer use a credit when you accept a submission.
All you’ll need to do is click “Accept this piece” to finalize your purchase. The number of available credits displayed on your dashboard will not change.
Note: If you’d like to see the request that corresponds to a submission, simply click the triple dot menu icon on the right side of the submission to find the linked request. From there, you’ll be able to see your request quantity, this is how many credits were reserved upon activation.
Managing Additional Submissions
It is possible to receive more submissions for a request than you had originally requested. You will not be charged for receiving extra submissions.
If you’d like to purchase additional submission(s), you can do so by using an existing credit, or by paying à la carte, using your credit card. You may also decline any additional submissions without consuming a credit.
Requesting Edits on Submissions
The process for requesting edits on a submission has not changed. If you would like to request edits from the writer, simply select “Request Edits” and follow the process outlined here. All edit requests must be made before accepting the content.
Declining Submissions
Using a credit to activate a request isn't a commitment to having to purchase a submission. You can still decline submissions!
If you choose to decline a submission, your request will remain active and a credit will still be reserved for the next submission that you receive. If you are not happy with a submission, we recommend that you decline it and provide feedback to the writer as soon as possible so you can receive a new submission from a different writer.
