Will I still get paid on bank holidays?

Verblio pays via direct transfers to your bank, and all U.S. banks observe a series of bank holidays.

What does this mean for your payments? The good news is someone at the bank gets a day off. The bad news is that if a bank holiday falls on a Verblio payday, your bank may take an extra day to process your deposit.

To help you as a valuable member of the Verblio writer community, Verblio will pay any invoice you submit on the preceding business day should our regular Monday pay dates fall on a bank holiday. As with our regular pay dates, invoices must be submitted by 12:15pm Mountain Time on the pay date in order to be processed.

The following are bank holidays for the 2026 calendar year:

  • New Year's Day 2026

    • Thursday, January 1

      • No change to the pay date

  • Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.

    • Monday, January 19

    • New pay date on Friday, January 16

  • Washington's Birthday (Presidents Day)

    • Monday, February 16

    • New pay date on Friday, February 13

  • Memorial Day

    • Monday, May 25

    • New pay date on Friday, May 22

  • Juneteenth National Independence Day

    • Friday, June 19

    • No change to the pay date

  • Independence Day

    • Friday, July 4

    • No change to the pay date

  • Labor Day

    • Monday, September 7

    • New pay date on Friday, September 4

  • Columbus Day

    • Monday, October 12

    • New pay date on Friday, October 9

  • Veterans Day

    • Wednesday, November 11

    • No change to the pay date

  • Thanksgiving Day

    • Thursday, November 26

    • No change to the pay date

  • Christmas Day

    • Friday, December 25

    • No change to the pay date
